Are low carb pizzas ok for induction? I know it is not a lot of info, but I have some low carb pizzas that only list they are 5 carbs per pizza. The problem is there is no breakdown of where that number came from. I got it at a low carb store (Zambetti's), but there is no label telling me if the carbs are that low because they are counting sugar alcohols or what?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

The only thing it says on the pizza is: Water, defatted soy flour, sauce, skim mozzarella and seasoning. Any advice?

Soy flour isn't on the acceptable foods list - and without it listing what's in the sauce I wouldn't eat that either. And we eat full fat cheeses.

        So in a word: Nope.

        It's not induction appropriate.

With the soy flour they would not be 'Atkins legal' till the Legumes rung of OWL.
Also the 'sauce' is suspect unless you can find the ingredients of the sauce and check them against the allowed foods list - which is in the FAQ's forum here http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                Re: Low Carb Pizzas

{{{Outwatcher}}} Induction is meant to 'detox' your body from all of the things which kept you hungry and 'sugar-doped'. As a result, for he two weeks you remain on induction, those things you crave most are the things you ought to eat LEAST, especially when they're processed. It means those things were the most addictive and damaging to your blood sugar, which is why your body craves them so much!

Stick with a strict induction, then start moving up the rungs of OWL if you find induction to be too limiting.

Also, check the recipes section for BikerGoddess pizza. I believe that is induction-friendly (so long as you only put induction-friendly toppings on the pizza), and man is it GOOD. Beware, however, that you should only keep smaller portions available if you have portion control issues. the stuff is addictive.
