Hi everyone!
Lately school has started and I have had less and less time to cook food. I went to the store to get some deli meats and came across Hebrew National.
I know alot of meat products contain sugar etc but Hebrew national says "no byproducts, no artificial colors or flavors". They also contian little or no carbs. Some of the beef even has 0g of carbs. Some salami/beef franks have 1g of carbs per serving. I was wondering where this 1g of carbs came from?
Is there hidden sugar somewhere?
Here are the ingredients: beef, water, 2% or less of flavorings, garlic powder, hydrolized soy protein, paprika, potassium, sodium lactate, salt, sodium diacetate, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite, spice.
Maybe the spices or something contain some sugar???
Is it ok to eat these still?
also, I read alot of people concerned about the sodium in deli meats. What of you boil the hot dogs or wash the bologna before warming it?
Will the salt wash off?
And besides, I drink about 3/4 a gallon of water a day. Will it really be bad for me to eat 2-3 slices of bologna a day and maybe a hot dog or two?
Because its so convenient, so high in fat, and a good amt of protein too!
Thanks
