  • Pork skin?

Ok, I know many of you love the pork rhinds. But im having a hard time with them. As much as id love to munch on something crunchy, just to spice up the day.....i cant seem to get over knowing that they are fried pork skin. I cant get myself to eat them.

Do you know anything that is like the pork rhinds but not really? I know its a dumb question but i thought id ask .

No offense to all the pork skin eaters out there!

I eat celery for crunch, but be sure you're aware of the carb content! 1 stalk of celery is between .8-1.5 carbs per stalk, depending on the size of the stalk!

do they even take the hair off the pork skin?

The whole concept gives me heebie jeebies.

I've had the flax crackers a couple of times. They're okay for a crunch with a little cheese or turkey on them.

              Chicken skin is yummy!!
Just be careful not to burn them.

cheese crackers are good too - microwave or ovenbake small cubes of cheese till crispy. Small heaps of grated cheese work too but space them out or you will have a cheese plate instead!!

Once I tried the american cheese slices(not processed food product) I took a slice at a time and cut it into 16 pieces(like cheese nips) space them evenly on a plate and microwave them until you see they are turning brown- but not burnt. They have a good crunch but not something I would eat very often... Not sure where the recipe came from...
Caution I BITE! clicky clicky..its tricky rikki!
