  • Back on the wagon...

    Hi all.

Just thought I would say hello. Back on the Atkins wagon as off today. Bit disappointed as just keyed everything into fitday and I seem to be a couple of grams of carb over (didn't know broccoli was so high and tomatoes always catch me out), but yesterday I ate two portions of fries, 4 bags of chips, 7 pints of lager, so it is a massive improvement.

Being in the UK, we don't use "cups" as a measure - what is a cup? Seem to be getting some conflicting info on this!

    Many thanks.

    Andy
Determined to get rid of that beer belly (hopefully much slimmer before going on holiday 08.17.09)!

Hi Andy - welcome to from another UK Atkineer.

Here is a site you can download a free conversion programme
    http://www.joshmadison.com/software/
which works for cups/mls as well as pounds/kgs and many other measurements.

As to your carbs being over the 20 - you are working on 'net' carbs (carbs less fibre on fitday) I hope.

It gets a bit fiddly when you make your own custom foods on fitday if you are using nutrition info from UK labelled food - as they list fibre as seperate from other carbs, so to enter as a custom food you have to put the total carbs in (add our UK carb count on the label to the fibre count) or fitday throws a wobbly!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
