  • Ketosis=weightloss?

Is it true that if you are in ketosis, this automatically means that you are losing weight/inches?

Nope, it means you're burning fat.

But if you are eating 6,000 calories, you could theoretically still be in ketosis if none of that was carby. BUT, you'd still be gaining weight because your body wouldn't be burning off the 6,000 calories you consume.

Some people who are in ketosis don't lose weight, others who are not in ketosis lose weight. All it means is that you're burning fat, as mamakimberly said above.

for me, ketosis usually means my chances of losing weight are better
        2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!
        2-20-10 190.4 - new scale
        3-20-10 177.8 - 1 month
        5-10-10 169.8 - 25 pounds gone!
