  • deli meats confusion!!

Are we allowed deli meats on induction? I have some sliced roast beef in the fridge that says it has no carbs, but it's cured with sugar. Dr. Atkins did make a comment about watching out for the added sugars, but did this mean that we couldn't have it or just to count it as carbs? The same is with bacon...and breakfast sausage. All cured with bacon and no carbs! I thought we were supposed to omit sugar completely from our diets for induction. I have avoided all of these because I was not sure what to do. If someone knows, can you please share it with me?

Thank you so so so much!!

Make sure you find what the precise measure of carbohydrate is in each product, or estimate by choosing .5 carbs per serving, even if it says "0". This way you are covering your bases. If the meat makes you more hungry you know you've had too much sugar.
