I started Atkins 5/31 of this year. I did it for two months and lost 23 pounds. For the last month and a half I have just been eating low calorie. I have stayed at the same weight, and have now added in working out (which I didn't do on atkins before, but now have time for) I have been feeling really crappy since eating carbs again, and want to go back to atkins. I know I won't have as much of a loss in the beginning as I did before (8 lbs in 2 wks) but will I still see a good weight loss with working out and atkins? Thank u for any advice!!!

Re: Restarting. Will I lose Weight??? Please help
Hi and welcome back to Atkins. Although it's true that you may not have the same induction loss the second time around, you can and will be successful on Atkins! Dust off your Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (we use the 2002 edition around here) and give it another read, especially the rules for induction. Stick to those rules, drink you water and exercise! It's great that you have added exercise to your routine because it's an important part of Atkins or just being healthy for that matter. You can also check out the 'second time around' forum here at ADBB. You can do it!

Re: Restarting. Will I lose Weight??? Please help
Maybe I'm just a weird case but I lost 14lbs my first 2 weeks, then i went off for a week. I started on monday again, i've lost 5lbs already. In 4 days. Water weight, whatever! it's pounds lost!!!
I think the second time around makes you lose faster. Just what my personal experience has proved to me. Good Luck!

Re: Restarting. Will I lose Weight??? Please help
This will go against what some of my very favorite people at ADBB believe, but I'm going to say it anyway!
I'm breaking my silence! *lol* (run, everyone!)
There's no 'one golden shot', as far as I'm concerned.
If anything, this time around your body might be a little bit PO'd at you and might think, "Hey, you did this last time, too" and might try to hang onto the weight a little bit harder... but that goes for any yoyo dieter, be it low cal or low carb.
Some things to think about
1) Definitely do things differently this time around. If you didn't exercise last time, do it this time. this helps your body shed the weight faster and muscle increases metabolism
2) Make this time the time you commit to this way of eating--for good. Why take the chance that we're really screwing up our metabolisms and teaching our fat cells to become more rebellious?
3) This is my zillionth time reinducting (No, I'm not proud of it), and in the last 23 days, I have lost 29 pounds. So I don't buy into the one shot theory! *lol*
