Thanks to cleo...here I am. She and I met on another board. She has encouraged me to join here. My DH and I are beginning Stage 1 (Induction) in about 10 days. Once we get back from vacation, THAT's IT! We're sheding the pounds. Between us, I'd say we have 300 pounds to lose. Man, just seeing that number scares me. To think, our cat is brave enought to sleep under the bed with us on it!!!!
I'd like to have one of those cute weight measuing tools under my siggy...how can I get one of those? I don't want to share my actual weight...but I'd love to measure the pounds as they melt away.
I have done something similar before, in preparation for Weight Loss Surgery that never came to be. My diet consisted of two 120 calorie protein shakes and 1 lean meat and veggie meal per day. All the sugar free jello I could stand...did you know that if you eat enough, jell-o doesn't change colors in the digestive system? I thought I had blown an artery!!!
Anyway, the worst part of the enitre thing was the first two days. I remember the "flu". It was an illness like none I had ever experienced. I am not looking forward to those days. However, I do know that after those days are done, it's smooth sailing from there...well, almost. Knowing that From January 12th to February 16th I lost 45 lbs made up for the sick feelings.
I don't expect THAT much of a loss so quickly (it was physician monitored weekly for the WLS), but I have to remember that I can do it.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all, leaning on you for support, and eventually giving encouragement to those who need it.
Marzipan
P.S. What's up with the "Increase Size" and "Decrease Size" under the text box here? Aren't we all here to "Decrease Size"?
