      Re: Advice: Being Patient?

      Pray with me.

"Dear God, please give me patience and giveittomenow!!!"

      Amen.

Patience. It is a virtue. It's also HIGHLY overrated! Still, you just have to sometimes wait a little while!

When we see something exciting taking place, we want more. And we want it right now! It's that instant gratification we're taught to want in a consumer-driven society.

Want the chicken mcnoogies? Go buy them today!

ACT NOW...and your hair will grow back tomorrow!

      DON'T WAIT!

      Operators are standing by!

Yeah, well I'm sure the operators are really sitting, but now we're parsing words. Fact it, I weighed 325 pounds for 6 years! 6! While I weighed 325, my life was all about the instant gratification. That didn't mean it was good for me. In fact, it wasn't.

Some things are worth waiting for. Like those awesome tulips you planted this fall which will peek out in spring. You're a lot like a flower. Nourish yourself. Give yourself sunlight, fresh air, nourishment, water. And give yourself time to blossom and grow!

OK, well you're not totally a flower, because when we sniff a flower we're smelling their reproductives, but you know what I mean.

I have patience. It's as long as a leg on a rolly polly.

          Patience getting through pauses???

Just stay focused on the goal.

            Ha Ha IAP!

I find that as I have success that breeds patience which breeds more success.....

It is really really hard to be patient, but you didn't gain all this weight overnight and you're not going to lose it overnight either. In fact you're probably losing more quickly than you gained it...(I know I am even though I'm a "slow loser".

Patience my Grasshopper......keep following this WOE and you will get there.

I am THE MOST IMPATIENT PERSON IN THE WORLD! you have no idea!
I stated this WOE almost 3 weeks ago but have been clean only 10 days soooo I am going nuts! I have lost 7 lbs but on my body it is NOT noticeble at all! So sometimes I feel like WTH? I can't eat all the "junk" I like and you can't even tell I am loosing weight! but then I stop and think of the 7 lbs I've lost and I am back to reality. So basically I focus on what I have lost not what I need to loose HTH
I"M BACK FROM ZERO TO HERO!
                        Me back then

                        me now :NewDay
