    Going to do something different

I'm the non-loser, three months on Atkins and no loss. I also have not had much luck working fitday. I really do wonder why I have stuck with it. But then again I know. I feel really good and I'm not hungry all the time. I've been heavy on the pork skins and probably therefore on the calories. So tonight I went to

and I copied 13 of 16 induction menus. I think I am one of those who needs to have a spelled out menu to have this work for me. I wanted to post this as I know there are others in the same boat as me. So many diets are so boring with plain chicken breast one night and plain pork chops the next. I really like these menus as they look so much for interesting!!

I think I'll take a few days off, and get prepard (and get my TOM overwith). And then get busy!

Before you quit for a while, why not try cutting out the pork skins. They have stalled me badly before so I leave them well alone now. I'm not sure if it is the salt or something else, I just know they are bad news for me!

You have to keep experimenting with this - mixing things up a little to see what works and what doesn't. Don't get stuck in a rut with what you are eating. It's so easy to keep eating the same food day in day out.But apart from the boredom factor, you need to eat a wide range of foods to get all the nutrients you can.

    Good luck,

I love pork skins but they're definitely high in the caloric sector. Try eating cheese for snacks. That works great for me.

        Hi Brenda

Well done for sticking to it for 3 months, that's great progress. The pork skins not only caused me to stall at some stages increased my weight via calories and sodium. I eliminated them for 2 weeks and then limited to a couple a day when I reached my goal. It worked like a dream.

I would be be cautious about 'a few days rest' as the carbs will cause an Insulin increase which will throw your body into confusion and panic response - it takes a while for it to recover and in the meantime you end up feeling rough. It's then a cycle of craving, Insulin increase, fat storgae etc...Is it worth it?

Anyhow, keep us posted on what you do and your progress.

        Take care.

I've said this a few times, but have you tried using the Ketostix? I feel much better knowing for sure that my body is burning fat. I really must give you props for the willpower though!
            Peace, Jess~
