Yes, there's no reason why she can't get back into ketosis if she picks up where she left off and carries on eating proper Induction style.

The thing to remember is that if a person goes in and out of ketosis too often, it inhibits their body's ability to get back into ketosis, so it will take longer to get back into fat-burning.

Your friend needs to think about what caused her to cheat....to think about how she felt before the cheat..was she upset? Was she happy? Was she just bored? Did she feel it was worth it?
How can she avoid this in the future? Does she need to learn to plan ahead a bit more so she only has Induction-safe foods on had as much as possible? Does she need to study the Acceptable Foods list and the Rules of Induction more so that she knows what she can eat if she has to eat out?

A person learns a LOT about themselves when they face their issues with food. It does get better, but it takes a lot of talking to yourself to learn what's going on.

You're not a bad friend..if ya gotta sleep ya gotta sleep! What you can do to redeem yourself, if you feel you need to, is to help your friend discover what prompted her to cheat, and how she can deal with this more effectively in the future.

As Moochiecat said - you are not bad for not being able to answer your phone and talk her out of cheating
Really the only one who can give your friend permission to cheat or orders not to cheat is your friend herself so it is not your responsibility. I am not saying this to be nasty to or about her but to show you that it was not your fault. so don't feel guilty about it.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
