  • Back the second time.

    Hi, everybody!

I'm not new to Atkins. I was successful on it two years ago. I was bad, however, and didn't follow the phases of maintenance. I ended up gaining more weight back than I lost.

Then I started doing low calorie/low fat dieting, plus tons of exercise and got my self down to 110 lbs again. My self confidence soared, and met my first boyfriend, who took me into the world of ballroom dancing. I fell in love with both...madly, deeply in love.

Then he left me. And I resorted to emotional eating. I soon lost the 15 lbs that I gained by dancing every night of the week and skipping dinner. But suddenly, in the month of September, depression hit again, taking me up to this weight, which I realize isn't "overweight". It's interfering with my dancing...as I am now a competitive dancer.

I forced my partner to take our names off the next competition this month because I felt too insecure. And to think how hard we practiced.

Anyway, I hope I have everyone's support here again.

This board has helped me a great deal in the past and I'm happy to be back.

Welcome Back To ADBB! I'm sure you'll do great, since you know the ropes and are familiar with things. This time just make sure you gradually creep up to OWL and follow each rung, into maint.! If you don't want to end up back here another time, lol, stick to it! You can do this!

      Great to have you back..........

          Re: Back the second time.

THANKS for all the support!!! Wow...I can't believe it took me this long to come back to the most effective plan ever. No more skipping meals for me. Although, I do have a 2 month supply of Medifast sitting here in my room which I don't know what to do with.

          Cleochatra-

You look JUST like a dancer I've seen perform at the most recent dance event!!! Actually...have you ever considered dancing? You have the look.

I'm sometimes told I look like people. I have that generic look. So long as no one ever says, "did I do time with you?" followed by "You owe me money!" I'll be ok!

Girl, you just made my weekend!!! Can I adopt you? Seriously, I'm no dancer. I'm so fat I beep when I back up. I admire people who dance, though! You're so teeny weenie and graceful! Like a little fairy!
