Good morning everybody.
I know I havent been here in awhile, but started doing Atkins again this morning...so thought I'd say hi. Let me catch you up real quick.
I started doing Atkins about 6 months ago, for the first time. I weighed 152 pounds. Within a couple of months, I weighed 140 pounds. And stayed there for awhile, and felt great. Then my husband, Brian, who is only 41, went to the doc for his yearly checkup, and yearly blood work, and HIS TRIGLYCERIDES ARE UP OVER 600. OVER SIX HUNDRED!! So Ive done alot of research...we have totally changed his diet...we are trying to get everything under control without the medication they gave him. If you research some of these medications, they are terrifying. So in the meantime, I was eating differently also. Lots of beans. And fruit. And oatmeal...good whole grains...that sort of thing. Lots of turkey and chicken...not to mention fish. And I have to tell you...I havent gained any weight. HOWEVER, Im not losing anymore, either. So it's time for me to come back. And here I am, 3 grams of carbs (so far) for the day...and Im ready to start shrinking! Thanks to everyone on this board...what an awesome thing it is!
