  • about low carb bread

    nature's own has one that is 7 grams of carbs per serving. i have learned from you(experts) that low carb. products are basically taboo and should only be used in extreme cases, but here goes one of those questions...If I move to OWL can i have the bread?

    It only has 5 if you subrtact the Fiber.

      I think the official answer is that you need to wait until you are on the relevant rung for all ingredients x

        Your mileage may vary, Zoesmom. I personally have all but done away with bread products low-carb and otherwise; though I have tried the reduced-carb options a few times, and they're usually pretty good!

          Yes Zarabelle is right - always check the list of ingredients to make sure they are all approved for your particular 'level' of Atkins (induction,OWL etc).
          Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Nature's Own is made with wheat flour, which means it is appropriately added for the Grains Rung of OWL.

            Basically if a food is not on your list of acceptable foods, then it isn't appropriate for your phase of Atkins no matter what the carb count is.
