Hi everyone! Im new here and i just started induction 3 days ago. So far im doing great, even though im feeling a little dizzy and im always thirsty. So my question is that as i am a former vegetarian, although now i eat chicken and turkey, i still need to eat some meat substitutions. Is tofu allowed on the induction phase?

Re: is tofu allowed?
we have many vegetarioans and if you look in the FAQ there is a topic abot doing Atkins as a vegetarian with info from Dr Atkins medical center back before his death about the way he was treating vegetarians on his program.
Welcome to ADBB and thr thirst is a good thing keep drinking that is one of the physical signs you are getting into ketosis and the natural diuretic effects of this plan are working!

Re: is tofu allowed?
Tofu is the "soy cheese" referred to in the Cheese Footnote. The 1992 edition of DANDR supports this as well as Dr. Atkins New Carbohydrate Gram Counter.
