Re: Green Tea
Many here drink green tea as long as it is decaf and you don't count it towards your daily water it is fine. Flax meal is great to make little muffins and breads with the recipe section is full of ideas. Psyllium works well too. Just make sure if you get the kind you mix with water it is sugar free.

Re: Green Tea
Thank u Laurenfra for your reply the flaxseed i saw wos organic and sugar free wos nearly 10 pounds to buy though couldnt believe it. Think i will look in the health shop for a smaller size pack cause u can only keep it 30 days and it wouldnt be used in that time on a tablespoon a day.

Re: Green Tea
If you can find the flax seeds(linseed in UK) and have a coffee grinder you can grind your own as you go and not have to worry about it going off.
BTW - flax is only allowed on induction under the section on avoiding constipation - Dr A suggests you try a Tablespoon of psyllium husks or ground flax. To use flax in larger amounts you need to be on the nuts and seeds rung of OWL.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Green Tea
Remember to make green tea with water just off the boil - like for coffee.
For real tea the water must be absolutely boiling - bit Im an Englishman and the teas rituals are important!Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Re: Green Tea
Labarun is right! Though I must admit I prepare my various-flavored teas with the scalding-hot water from my cold/room temp./hot water filter, and this works for me!

Re: Green Tea
I found that flax will make me stall or even gain weight, so for my experience the psylliumhusks are way better to use
I make little pancakes with them for my roll ups, or when my hubbie has tortillas, I can eat along and take the pancakes instead, just put eggs, psyllium, a dash of salt and water together, when the mixture gets 'tough' just add water and wisk it again.
Make sure to always drink plenty of water !!!41 year old female, lenght 5'5'' and a half

Re: Green Tea
4 litres sounds good - one rule of thumb is to drink a minimum of 64 US fluid ounces (2 litres approx) plus 8 extra US fluid ounces (about 1/4 litre) for every 25 pounds (11 kilos) you want to lose.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

On the subject of psyllium husks, does anyone know anywhere you can order them online in the UK. They don't sell anything like that where I live (it's a very small town) and I have no idea where to get them?SW 145* / CW 145* / GW 108*I think... trying to avoid the scales due to general inability to cope with any gains without reaching for ice-cream

Have you got a health food shop in your town?Originally posted by JenDoeOn the subject of psyllium husks, does anyone know anywhere you can order them online in the UK. They don't sell anything like that where I live (it's a very small town) and I have no idea where to get them?
I first bought mine at Holland & Barrets (they have an online shop too) but it was very pricy!!
Now I get a big bag of unbranded husks at the nearest independant health food shop for less than half of H & B's price.
Same goes for linseeds (aka flax seeds) I just ordered a 5 kg bag of golden linseeds for about £12 from them - up to now I have been paying £2.49 for a half kilo bag!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Green Tea
Maybe there are some better prices here? http://search.ebay.com/psyllium-husk...rbinZtQQsojsZ0
If any non-U.S. resident is unable to locate psyllium husks or anything else Atkins-related, please drop me an e-mail and we'll see what we can do.
