Re: Soft Drinks
Boots' Shapers range don't contain aspartame! They've become my resource of soda replacement while at work lol. They do Ginger root, apple and cranberry, orange and tangerine flavors...really nice! But they aren't carb free, just low carb, so make sure you check the label!
I don't know what else you could drink though. The versions of Sprite, coke and such with splenda isn't available in the UK to my knowledge. I have had the Z range though, they contain aspartame, but if I really need a drink, I'll have a bottle

Re: Soft Drinks
I'd like to encourage everyone to avoid soda during the first two weeks at least.
The purpose of Induction is to detox from caffiene, sugars, processed foods, etc, and build a foundation of better eating habits based on fresh natural foods. Usually during this time most of us are learning to drink way more water than we have ever drank before (rule of thumb is 64 ounces, plus another 8 ounces per 25 pounds we need to lose), so it's best to focus on that right now.
When the two weeks are up, you can choose whether you want to add soda back in or not, but consider it's lack of nutritional value and remember it doesn't count towards your water intake for the day...only water counts as water.
Some folks's problem area is sweets, and a soda can trigger old cravings...any sweetener can trigger cravings actually..give this a read:

So there ya go..something to think about.
