  • Need to decide about going into OWL

    I need to decide today if I want to start OWL tomorrow. Although I started Atkins on the 26th, after posting to this forum, I realized that I did some things incorrectly, and so I'm counting induction as the first day that I didn't eat an Atkins Advantage Bar, which was Monday the 31st.

    This means that tomorrow would be day 15. So far I have lost at least 5 lbs., possibly 6. It might be more because I am not exactly sure what my starting weight was because it was fluctuating wildly, but I have settled on 185. My goal weight is 135.

    I exercise 5x wk., but I do not know if it is "vigorous". What counts as "vigorous"?

    According to DANDR... how many carbs would I be allowed to eat if it's NOT vigourous, given the info I have given you?

    DANDR will not set your carbs your body will.

    read chapter 13 and answer those questions your answers to those questions will tell you if you are ready to move to OWL or not.

    Read chapter 14 and the OWL forum stickies so you know how to do OWL and then make up your mind. the first thing you are going to do is add 5 net carbs of the acceptable veggies to those 3 cups youare already eatting. Not a big change at all and nothing to be afraid of either.
