Okay, my DH is out of town for the next 10 days. I have a lot to do in time. I have promised myself that I an going to get my house in order ( at least the storage room). I also plan to exercise nightly. With taking care of my two kids, cleaning, and exercising, I shouldn't be tempted to cheat. (right?)

Any suggestions, as to what to plan for my evening meals, so that I will be to full to eat.

    thanks, Time

Have you ever looked at Linda's Low Carb Recipes? Here's the link:

    http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/recipes.html

It's chock full of interesting recipes, and the induction-friendly ones are marked with an asterisk. In addition, there are several areas of this board that have really good recipes. Plan really really well, and keep boiled eggs and/or some other type of acceptable snack on hand, and have LOTS of water around. If you plan everything out and have everything readily available, you're less likely to fail..

I find that my greatest challenges have been when I'm on my own for dinner. You've got your kids there, but still, it's easy to sluff off a bit when the numbers are reduced. I find that I totally have to plan what I'm going to eat, and stick to the plan.
You can also include an evening snack in your plan as well, and if you decide you don't need it, then don't have it.
But yes, planning ahead, and having lots of induction friendly food on hand, is key.

Double up on some recipes so you have lots leftover for lunches as well.

I find I am Home by myself all the time my husband is away and I have my 3 kids yes but, what works the best for me is I add extra fat to my evening meal and that gets me through. If ya make Broccoli I add butter etc. or I eat the fat on the steak. LOL that totally helps me any how you really never know until you try stuff what will work for you.

Now is a time to really spoil yourself. Lobster, crab, prime rib, bacon, veggies with cheddar cheese sauce. Sausage mixed with cream cheese in mushrooms. An egg cooked in butter. Eat the finest foods, the kind of foods other people think could never be okay.

Thanks everyone for all of the tips. I did good last night. I was not hungry at all so I had a little steak and lots of water.

Tonight I plan to go to the grocery store. (STAY AWAY FROM THE CHIPS AND BAKERY!!!) So I can stock up on snack that are okay and great things for my meals. I thing I see a juicy steak in my future for tonight and some Broccoli with butter. My kid do not eat steak so I thing chicken will be good for them. I can fix both at the same time on the George Forman Grill.

I suprised myself last night. I have always said that I didn't have time to exercise in the evening after work, because of supper. laundry, kids, etc., but I have made exercise a habit. I was able to do thirty minutes and do all of the things that have to be done. I even got to sit down and play with the kids for a while.

The main thing is to plan ahead and you will do great. Try not to be caught off guard ,without a plan, and it be time for a meal. this can lead to disaster.
