    yet another embarassing question!

    I have searched the book and found nothing, I have searched the net and found something on the anti-atkins websites- so here i will post and while you read this- picture a brunette with a very red face- but alas, I must ask!!!
    Tomorrow will be the end of my two week induction, i plan to keep it going for another 2 and we will see after that.
    Here is the embarassing question- Has anyone suffered from diarreha? I have had it for the majority of the two weeks. The book only talks about constipation but not the lovely D. I also have candida so have eliminated yeast and fermented products- so i am wondering if that has anything to do with it.
    I drink lots of water- more than required, so that is not it- but I am a bit conserned. any info appreciated!

    there's some articles someplace.. it's pretty common I think... the D word... but the fiber (psyllium) will take care of that as well.... it balances the water in the intestines or something.... so take your psyllium!

      I always get it the first few days at least, and I know it's common. Don't worry pretty soon you will have the opposite problem!

        it is a coomon problem.

        Check out the candida yeast forums and read about it from that aspect.

          I just posted something similar yesterday and received no responses other than it's normal and will iron itself out and to have more fiber. From what I know - I don't have candida but I'm checking that out too. Funny thing, I didn't have it in my first 2 weeks but I've had the D-word for the last week and have no idea why. I'm almost thinking that it may be a food allergy, so I'm really watching what I eat to see if I can pinpoint what's triggering it.

            I seem to be just the opposite! The horrible Big C (constipation). i wish we all could find that happy middle ground to normal.
            Good luck finding your answers for the D problem.
            One thing for sure, go ahead and ask the questions, there will be someone here at ADBB that has experienced the situation you need answers for.

              I had it too in the beginning somewhere, well, heh, both problems: at first I had the D and then after some time I had the C
              Now I take psyllium every day religiously and it sure did wonders for me, I never have any problems on that side of me no more, LOL
