  • ediet or not

I signed up for ediet and started it two weeks ago. I followed everything to the T. But I have gained 5 LBS I signed up for the atkins ediet. I read the menu for the first 14 days and that one is alot more restrictive than what I have been eating. I also have been reading the atkins new rev book and some of the things that I have been eating says not to eat it during the induction phase. So should I cancel the ediet and follow the plan that I saw on this website?

YES!!!! Ediets is great but they still are based on their low-fat high carb agenda. Or you can keep you membership but take the menu as a "guide" and modify it how you see fit.

Like the poster above said, E-diets has that same agenda that all of the other low fatters have been pushing since the beginning.

Follow the atkins before he died, none of that A.N.A crap the have now....

The copy of Atkins that we follow here is Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (version 2002, we call it DANDR for short) Make sure to get a copy of that and give it a really good read so that you understand the 'why' behind the diet. Knowing that will really help you in the long run. There is a lot of info on the boards here but as with everything, going to the source is the best you can do for yourself.

I have a friend who really liked ediets because it gave her such structure. DANDR gives you a lot of structure as well, which is what I liked about it. You have the Rules of Induction, the Acceptable Foods list, and while you are free to have variety, you have a stable foundation to work off of.
