  • Such BAD timing!

    I started atkins for the second time "for real" on wednesday. the day before thanksgiving. Eh no big deal I figured, there's turkey and veggies, i'll be fine.
    For the hellofit I weighed myself thanksgiving morning and I had gained 3 lbs! I was bummed, but obviously there had to be a reason right? Well I figured that one out when TOM showed up a whole wekk early about 10 minutes later (I usually cramp like mad the week before, so it was a total surprise, I had no moodiness or anything!) Well this morning I weighed again, and i'm back down those 3 lbs to my original starting weight. TOM will do some wacky things to you, so take it from me and don't bother to weigh at that time!
    I'm bummed though, because one thing that motivated me to stick with atkins was the woosh in the beginning. Starting this WOL at the same time as TOM when you feel the most unattracting and puffy and grumpy is tough, but I hope once TOM goes away and I stick to it i'll have that first big wooshy, just a week late.
    Do y'all think TOM will mess up your beginners woosh?

    You'll whoosh after TOM more often than not once your body lets go of the excess water. Keep drinking or your body will only feel justified in hanging on to what it has as far as fluid levels go.

      I think you are looking at this wrong since TOM addded 3 more pounds you are going to be an even bigger whooshie comeing due person>

      Good for you (since you didn't post and I comforted myself with foods) we know you can do this and be an Atkins big loser too.

        Kibskix, don't weigh yourself again until after Aunt Flo has packed up and left! 2Big4MySize is spot-on: you'll likely get twice the surprise!

        I'm long at goal, and even I get thrilled when I weigh and see what's arrived that week has finally departed.

          You will still get your whoosh if you stick to the plan. At least it worked for me. You can do it!
