Ok, I've gone off the Atkins Pancakes. Now I'm sure it my carb addiction blowing up, but I am so craving something sweet and satisfying. so my question is can I make the pumpkin cheesecake? If not can I make any cheesecake? What can I eat that will be an ok desert while on induction? Thanks everybody, you have been really helpful for far.

isn't there a sugar free cool whip? IF so, maybe you can alter my cream cheese cheesecake recipe to LowCarb??
Here it is... I would normally put it in a graham cracker crust, but obviously that would definitely be a NO NO!!
2 8oz pkg cream cheese (softened)
1 extra large cool whip
1/2 cup splenda
2 tbsp lemon juice
combine the cream cheese, lemon juice and splenda - blending until creamy then fold in the cool whip... mix well...
pour into individual serving bowls and chill at least 30 minutes, longer is better.
Anyone have any input?? Would this be acceptable??

Cool Whip only comes in Free, Lite and Regular. The "Lite" version having less fat than the regular version. The "free" version having no fat.
Is cheesecake legal or not?
Depends.
Cheesecake is made from cheese, sugar substitute, and sometimes heavy cream. So if you stay within your daily Cheese limits, stay within the daily sweetener limit, stay within the daily cream limit, then it's "legal" (provided it doesn't have a crust made with non-Induction/Atkins things like wheat flour).~Megs~

you do not want to be feeding that sweet tooth. look where it has already led you. If you give it up cold turkey in a few weeks you will be amazed how sweet the veggies taste and OWl berries are going to shock you.
but if you aren't going to do that instead of going for that how about just using one of your sweetner and sprinkle it on 1 ounce of cream cheese as part your 4 ounce cheese limit and use that for your sweet. you will get Atkins healthy fats and the mouth feel of the cream cheese as you roll it round will stimulat pleasure areas of the brain givng you some nice brain chemicals to.
remeber Dr Atkins said desserts and sweets should be occasional treats not everyday events!

You know, I literally laughed out loud the first time I read that on this board. I thought you guys were crazy. I can't believe how incredibly sweet tomatoes are to me now. Other veggies are also starting to taste sweet. I'm not laughing anymore!in a few weeks you will be amazed how sweet the veggies tasteF/26 5'6"

I second that. I ate a single baby carrot and it was SO sweet, than I realized it isn't on the induction list and I didn't have any more. But OH sweet heaven, in a little orange container.in a few weeks you will be amazed how sweet the veggies tasteComment

I LOVE the stuff.
Listen to 2big. She's right. Feeding a craving doesn't make it go away, it perpetuates the problem. It's like giving someone going through nicotine withdrawal one cigarette to make the craving go away. Sounds pretty counterproductive, doesn't it?

LOL no wonder I wasn't able to stick with this diet the last time I did it!! I lost nearly 30 lbs, but then instead of going to OWL I just stopped doing it... I never thought about the fact that I was feeding my craving and therefor keeping it alive!!

Perhaps I will succeed this time around? ! ? !
