    Re: Helpppp im desperate :[

This morning I had sausage (240) and eggs with cheese (140)

Then I went shopping for two and a half hours and when I shop I mean I shop I look at every isle, rack, item in every store in the mall. So that had to burn off all breakfast.

For dinner we're having kale, ham and potatoes.

    My stats are
    5'2
    153
medium build, I have big hips, small waist and a big butt

I lost 60lbs last winter, I tend to lose more when its cold.

My ultimate goal weight is 115-125 depending how I look. My family doesnt want me to get past 135. Weirdos.

Potatoes? Ouch! That's going to cost ya. Re-read the rules of induction, and get things straight. Anything anti-induction can be a deathtrap, literally. For one, your already eating fats liberally and now a good insulin rush because of carbs will take that fat and store it straight into your butt and hold it efficiently.

good for you thinking up ways to get extra exercise like your library walking.

you can see the acceptable foods lists in our FAQsection until you get your book. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781

the book is only $7 brand new at stores like walmart in paperback so maybe you could get your own copy.

We know you weren't going to eat those potaotes. when Dr Atkins said to eat 3 cups of veggies during induction he meant 3 cups of the low glycemic veggies on his lists.

see I knew you wouldn't. weight loss isn't an everyday event. just as you didn't gain it evry day you will not lose it every day. just keep working your Atkins doing your exercise and you will be getting healthier and smaller.

Put your scales away and wait for day 15 of induction and them maybe once a week weigh in. if you have scalenumberphobia ( you allow the numbers on the scale to dictate how you feelabout your Atkins efforts and your self) have someone else keep the scales away from you and use your tape measure or clothes to know you are shedding fat as you morph your body working your Atkins!

did you get into boot camp?

            Happy low carbing.

I didn't join, if I did and messed up i'd feel like a complete failure and probably punish myself for days.

I'm addicted to not just my scale but measuring myself every day and i've been doing sit ups and stuff and its not really doing anything which discourages me. Haha I opened a fortune cookie (just for the fortune) and it said "rome wasnt built in a day, be patient" and i'm always trying to lose the weight REALLY fast and I guess it kind of made me realize its not going to go away over night it takes time.

well if you just added an exercise program then you got one more morphing thing going on. Muscles when you increase their load believe you are in danger cause nobody exercises for fun so they do what is called superhydrate afterwards so they can better rescue you next time. Once they learn (and it can take a few weeks) the new exercise is their normal load they will release several pounds of stored fluids and you will get smaller and lighter.

Yep that was avery appropriate fortune foryou. funny how the hand of God works.

Listen to 2big, sugarfree. She's right about the water retention in muscles. Any time I switch up my workout routine, I get slapped with a 2-4lb gain immediately that takes me upwards of 10-14 days to drop back off.

One of the things I'd advise you to do -even though I know it's hard- is to stand back and look at things rationally instead of being reactionary. If your eating is on point and you're being a good little Atkineer and you're exercising, you HAVE to know and understand that the weight on the scale IS NOT FAT GAIN. Is your goal fat loss or weight loss, because the two are not mutually exclusive or inclusive You can and will lose fat while gaining muscle and that is NOT a bad thing AT ALL! When you see a jump on the scale and you know you're sticking to and working your plan, step back and realize that what you're seeing on the scale is more about water retention/too much sodium/hormonal fluctuations/gastric issues etc. The only way you're going to put on FAT is by eating 3500 calories above and beyond what you need. That's it. Now, if you sit down tonight and do a 7000 calorie feed, you can bet the weight you see on the scale over the next week is a different story. If you didn't...relax and get used to it. It's part of the ride
