  • induction , is this right?

I'm starting induction tomorrow and I was wondering if you guys could review the menu I have in mind for the next few days.

    Sunday :
breakfast :2 scrambled eggs , fried in real butter
lunch : 2 cups salad with meatballs , made at home from minced meat and herb , oil and vinegar dressing
dinner : 1 cup broccoli , piece of veal

    Monday :
breakfast : 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs (I have to get up early for work and prefer to eat at my desk)
    lunch : 2 cups salad , tuna , mayonaise
    dinner : 1 cup salad , steak

    Tuesday :
breakfast : again 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs
    lunch : 2 cups salad , chicken , mayonaise
dinner : 1 cup cucumber with oil and vinegar dressing , turkey

for snacks I am thinking about homemade meat balls and some cheese (Brie or Camembert)

Hope I'm on the right track

looks like you got the 3 cups of veggies down but how about spreading them out more so you have some carbs some protein and some fat at every meal breakfast needs some of those salad veggies too cause when you get to OWL you will be adding more and more veggies and you want them all the tims so you got the best fuel mix running in your system at all time.

You can plug your foods into www.fitday.com a free online site and then you will know if you have enough fat in your food cause Atkins is ketogenic which means fat based so 65% of your cals should be in the form of fats.

otherwise you food choices look great.

    Happy low carbing.

      Thanks for your reply!

I have fitday account , but sometimes have it a bit hard , language wise , not sure if I use the correct English term , as my native language is Dutch (Flemish).
But when I logged everything I plan to eat (including butter to fry etc) , I ended up with 59% fat. Is this really too low or is that acceptable?
I read the books but it still remains a bit confusing to start at first

since your fat is too low fro induction that means you have more protein then you need and excess protein is converted to sugar in the liver sooooooooooooo
if you think you are eating the right amount add a bit more healthy fat to your chciken and remove a few bites of chicken and youwill be fine. it desn't take much a tablespoon or two can be the difference between a great Atkins blood sugar controlled day and a blood sugar imbalance craving out of control day.
