In order to do this right you really need to read the book. Until you can get your hands on the book there are stickies at the top of this forum that can give you enough information to get started

at the bottom of my signature you can find a link to amazon.com and can order DR ATKINS new diet revolution book,(2002 edition). If you are having a hard time finding the right book, here is the solution for you.
By buying your book here, ADBB will recieve part of the money.

Rule #2. Follow Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution as suggested above.

Re: am i doing it right

          Firstly welcome to

If you look at these 3 threads in the FAQ forum you will see how to start induction and what you can eat.
          Atkins at a glance:
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6783
          Rules of induction:
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6782
          List of allowed induction foods:
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781

If you have time take a look at the other stickies - there is lots of valuable information and advice there.

Why not print out the list of induction foods to have in your pocket to refer to till you get used to what is allowed.

You can eat anything on the list that you like as long as you stick to the limits as indicated.
This doesnt mean eating till you feel like a stuffed turkey but eat when you are hungry and untill you dont feel hungry anymore - if you still have food left on your plate wrap it up and put it back in the fridge for when you are hungry again.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
