End of induction wk 1 update,, But.......

  • End of induction wk 1 update,, But.......

    Ive lost 4 and 3/4 lbs.!!!!
    BUT......... the ketone strips i got this morning said negative, not even a trace of ketones , and I tried 2 others and still the same, so im worried it may be water loss from being totm and not the diet

    Im eating nothing but meat and poultry, cooking with olive oil, having small salad with lunch and mayo, or other low carb dressing, and some kinda meat feast in the evening with a small cup of allowed veggies.
    Have looked through the book aswell so im sure im doing it right.
    Any ideas, ?

    Ketostix make great party favors, but I don't put much stock in them.

      Post a few days menu's in the Review My Menu forum so we can get a good look at what you are eating (take a moment to read the 'how to post your menu' sticky in there so we get the details we need)
      I agree with Cleo...save your money and spend it on the clothes you're going to need soon and don't worry about the ketostix. There are a zillion variables that go on with those and you really don't need them as long as you are following the diet as laid out in DANDR.

      Also give this a read, so you are prepared for what may or may not happen to you in the upcoming weeks

        I havent been weighing anything except cheese so far just eating till im not hungry but not stuffed, but will keep a note of weights and measurements and let you know

          I completely agree with the other ladies. I used to religiously pee on ketostix everytime I went to the bathroom. I would get such a huge variety of restults that I decided they weren't even worth it. As long as I was eating what I should be, staying away from the things I should be staying away from and losing weight, I figure I'm in ketosis. The stick isn't going to change my mind about that.
