  • So Far so good

So far I have lost 15 pounds on Atkins. This is my 8th day.

Well anyways, yesterday I was home finishing up a paper so I called my parents to see if they could but be some cajun wings from wing stop. (I tried checking their site for carb content, but unfortunately no nutritional information was posted) Well right when I finished the wings I realized that I was unaware of how many carbs I had put in my body.
Since I had not ate all day(Yeah, I know, I know, but I am a little stressed because it is finals week) and it was already 8:00 p.m. I ate quite a bit of wings. Well I called Wing Stop and I was glad to know that they don't but any sugar or flour in they Cajun wings, so I probably didn't get that many carbs.

I never have time to eat breakfast. I have to wake up at 5:30 a.m. to go to school. I go to a school outside my district so I have to catch a ride there. The school is only about 23 miles away but with traffic in a city like Houston. Weh. Plus my brother has to be at work by seven so I get to school really early(go in at 7:55 get there at 6:45). My best bet would be to buy my breakfast at a restaurant across the street. Do you guys think not eating breakfast will affect the diet at all?

As for my finals I am doing great. I have my Calculus final tomorrow. Yikes I need to study.

    You're welcome, you're welcome.
    Think nothing of it, really.
Well, you can if you wish.
I've heard from the Leprechaun down the way that you're working his luck charm for the test.
    Good luck to you child!

Congratulations on your loss so far!!

As to not having time to make breakfast in the morning, can you prepare something in the evenings to put in the fridge and collect on your way out?

Some people make a bunch of Pau's breakfast quiches which are filling and a good balance of fat/protein/carbs and easy to eat on the go.
      Here is the recipe
      http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ight=breakfast

If I dont have the ingredients or the time to make those I often just roll up some ham slices with cheese slices and put them in an airtight container and take them with a few cherry tomatoes if I can't eat before I go out.

Really any 'leftovers' from the day before are good for breaking your fast - which we ought to do within an hour or so of getting up to get our metabolism started on that fat-burning!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Thanks! The test was so easy, I am sure I have an A.
Now all I have to worry about now is my Culinary Arts(It is about breads, pies, cookies, safety, sanitation, blah, blah) test tomorrow. From what I have heard it is also easy.
