  • another quick ?

    Hi guys it's me again, on day 2 of induction and doing well so far....got the book!

    okay but what I was wondering is I know that bacon cured w/sugar is no good, but what about brown sugar, is that unacceptable also? and if so does anyone have any suggestions on brand/type of bacon that is ok?? Thanks again!

    sugar is sugar, whether brown or white.

    Also look for ingredients ending in 'ose' such as glucose or dextrose, as they are sugars as well. Honey is also included in this.

    For bacon, it can depend on where you live and what's available. It's very rare to find bacon that is totally sugar free. Ask at the grocery store you go to and you also might want to check out local butcher shops that make their own bacon and sausages. They might have something available that you can enjoy.

      If the back has no carbs your okay. I don't know where you live laci, but I understand that Trader Joes has nitrate free bacon which is what the good Doctor recommends.
