  • Shopping List for Induction?

Hi...I'm gearing up to begin Induction on Mon Jan 9th... Is there anywhere a printed, suggested, shopping list for all the items that would be good to have...or do I have to plan each meal ahead of time & comprise a shopping list that way? Being so so busy, just looking for a condensed list for Induction.
    Thanks!

    Re: Shopping List for Induction?

    Hi and welcome.

When I was on Induction, I carried a copy of the Induction Acceptable Foods List and the rules of Induction with me while I shopped. That way, if I saw a vegetable or a meat (on sale and looked good), I could refer to the list.

If you don't like shopping that way, then I suggest that you sit down with the Foods list and the Rules of Induction to make up a shopping list that suits your individual tastes and preferences.

Both ways suggested by not2late have worked for me in the past. In fact, the planning worked better for me that way I was killing two birds with one stone - shopping list and my meal planning.

        Here are some staples.
Eggs - get a couple dozen as they are so versital
Cheese - not the stuff that looks and tastes like plastic, real cheese
for topping veggies, salads, scrambled eggs
Heavy cream - if you drink decaf and use it.
        flax meal
Veggies, check the list, there are lots to chose from
        Meat - your choice

I think the heavy cream was what sold me on Atkins
