I did my two week induction cheat free, did an additional week with less than an additional 15 carbs added and at the end of 3 weeks, i might have lossed 2lbs. i don't want to give up. i didn't even loss any inches, i even exercise faithfully on the stairstepper. What should i do at this point. something must be wrong with me. i'm getting so fustrated because i'm thinking about taking phentemine diet pills and i seriously don't want to. please advise.

Can you post what you eat in a typical day? Also, how much water do you drink?

Yes, please. A detailed account of your menu - not only what you're eating, but how much of it you're eating, as well as any and all beverages and how much. Are you on any medications? How much exercise are you getting and how often? Are you taking supplements? - If so, what?

I eat mostly eggsw/cheese for breakfast two-three, scrampled or fried w/onions sometimes. i eat grilled chicken salad or another lean meat salad, steak, tuna but mostly chicken. a lot of times i'm really not hungry by dinnertime, so i'll eat either more eggs or something light (always straight protein). i do 20 mins. of high impact exercise everymorning. i did this way of eating for the first 2 weeks, and continued into the 3rd week with 10-15mg of carbo added. i take 12.5 mg of water pills for my boaderline pb. tell me what to do next. thanks everybody.

          How much cheese with breakfast?
          How much onion?

How much chicken /steak/tuna/lean meat are you eating with lunch? How much salad? Dressing? Toppings?

You added another 10-15 grams of carb on top of your 20 for a total of 30-35 grams a day?

What about your water/beverage intake? How much? Of what?

What do you define as "high impact exercise"? What is it that you're doing?

The more detailed you are in your responses, the more help we can be.

How many ounces of cheese per day?

Do you prepare the food yourself or is it take-out?

How much water are you drinking?

What is the grilled chicken salad made up of?

                      Re: Help! Help! Help!

you said lean meats and strickly proteins Atkins is a ketogenic plan that means you burn fats for fuel so you should be having fat will everything and your proteins should be no more then 30% of your total calories with fats being a whooping 65% of the total cals. Are you even close to these amounts?

I hope that was mg added carbs but I think you added 15-20 grams of carbs after the 14 days. WHy? OWL is 5 net grams a week added if you tolerate them and from a prescribed list the first addition should have been more of those veggies you were already havuing 3 cups of from induction.

Do you have a copy of DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 edition? read chapter 14 aboutOWL andsee what you are doing wrong. read chapter 11 about induction and see if you did it right too.
                      Happy low carbing.

also just wanted to ask are you avoiding the "franken foods?" some products out there such as low carb candy and bars, etc, are not low carb and can do some quirky things to your weight loss as well.

                          Re: Help! Help! Help!

i do the stairstepper at a high impact rate for 20-25 mins. i be sweating bullets. i'm not eating a lot of cheese, the equivalent of 1 slice in the morning eggs and thats only sometimes, i will mostly eat boiled eggs. the grilled chicken or other lean meat salads are made up of the meat, veggies (cucombers, onions, greenpeppers, tomatoes and some goat cheese) small salads. I drink water all day long, plenty. when i was in induction, my total grams per day were around or less than 20. starting the third week, i only added a glass of wine every other night or every other two nights which i think may amount to an additional 15grams. what i'm i doing wrong. thanks.

i don't know what "franken foods?" are, but in any event, i'm not doing any processed food or low carb bars and products. just whole foods. thanks.
