Hi. I have been reading other members questions and I see alot of people are counting thier daily carbs. I haven't been keeping track of carbs, I have just been eating the foods off the induction list, meats, fats and the 2 cups greens with 1 cup of the other vegies... Should I be counting carbs too?? I'm on day 4 and I havent cheated at all but maybe I should be watching my portions??

IF you strictly follow the rules of induction, you technically don't need to count carbs---even Dr. Atkins implies that in the OWL chapter when he wrote you have to count carbs during OWL. That's a big IF, because once you start getting sloppy with measuring the veggies, cheese and other carbs, that will skew your carb count considerably.
However, it will be beneficial to you to get used to counting carbs and keeping track of what you eat and how much you eat---especially when you move into the later Phases of the Atkins Diet.
Different people have different methods of keeping track. Some people swear by fitday.com. When I was on Induction (and even now), I kept a notebook that listed what I ate, how much of it and the number of carbs.

Thanks for clearing that up. I started to get confused when I kept reading about all the carb counting. I am faithfully sticking to the book with the rules of induction and not eating anything that is not listed, measuring my vegetables and eating the 2 cups greens and one cup other vegies and drinking plenty of water. The only thing I am doing which was a "no no", I still have two cups of tea a day but I have read that the caffine didn't effect many people with the amount of weight they have lost. I am VERY motivated!!!************************************************** ******************
