    Re: TEA Question

I think so... how about trying it with half a Splenda first and see how you like it? This way, you can have another cup later on if your carb intake permits. I have a cup of decaf green tea (with no Splenda - believe it or not - I found I enjoy the taste of the tea) and, later on, a cup of decaf coffee with a Splenda and a bit of cream. It's kind of a treat. Good luck!

      Re: TEA Question

      Hi Princess,

Check out page 127 of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002), it shows the beverages that are acceptable on Induction.

Dr Atkins recommends kicking the caffeine habit because it can cause blood sugar increases in some people.

I'm not sure if the Stash tea is decaffeined or not...if so, it's okay.

      Take care!

Sounds fine BUT check the list of ingredients to make sure!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

yes check the ingredients, as Elizellen said.

Be aware that heavy cream contains carbs. Depending on the carb counter you use as a reference, 1 tablespoon of heavy cream has 0.4-1 carb. So if you use it, count it into your daily carb count.

Also Splenda has about 1 carb per serving and that must be counted as well.

Based on the nutrition info alone, it looks good to me. How many bags do you typically have at one time? (For me, it's 2.) Enjoy your tea!
