Re: Breath Mints....
My breath has been so bad lately today I was offered a piece of orbit gum by a co-worker and she said the pkg. says sugar alcohols not aspertine.
I heard of a product named blitz, comes in gum and mints (splenda brand) but can't find any in the stores I visit ...let me know if Orbit is acceptable, affraid to put it in my mouth but don't want to ask her for the package (she'll think I don't believe her)

Re: Breath Mints....
I have said in the past on a number of threads, that I for one have never chewed gum on this woe. As I don't want to get the taste for sweet stuff again.
But thats just my 2 pence worth.
Chewing on parsley is a good call, and so is carrying around a miniature bottle of mouth wash.

I use the tiny little "Liquid Ice" dealies that the Duffs were doing commercials for. They're really quite effective.Female, 21, 5'6"

How many carbs are in parsley? I hate the taste of parsley. If you try it, make sure there's no green stuff in your teeth when you're talking to the boss. lolChewing on parsley is a good call,Female, 46yrs, 5'3"

Re: Breath Mints....
I have a little bottle of mouthwash that I keep at work and I also have some Frisk mints. They're really strong and don't remind me of candy at all. When I chew gum I choose the strongest gum I can find..like Dentyne Ice so it doesn't remind me of candy in any way. Unless your idea of candy is something that burns a hole in your tongue...lol.

Re: Breath Mints....
What do you guys think of TicTacs? My significant other was complaining about my breath and after reading all of the labels on the various gums and mints I settled on the TicTacs. It says 0 carbs. I went and did some research and it seems them have like 1/3 carb.

Re: Breath Mints....
I have to agree with some other people's responses. I've stayed clear of mints or anything minty because I know I'll slip back into my old habits and get cravings for sweet things back.
I just use mouthwash. I keep a little bottle in the car and one at my desk at work.Steph - Age: 24 yrs - Height: 5'4" - Original Weight: 170 lbs - Current Weight: 155 lbs - Goal Weight: 120 lbs - STAC

Re: Breath Mints....
is that 1/3rd of a carb for a single tic tac? or for the pack?Originally posted by wxguyWhat do you guys think of TicTacs? I would assume its for a single tic tac, and if thats the case I would steer clear of them as they are tiny things.

Re: Breath Mints....
I am assuming it was for a single Tac, I found that on the internet somewhere after an extended search. Serving size on the package is indicated as 1 piece. Says total carb 0 grams total sugars 0 grams but it has sugar listed in the ingredients.

Re: Breath Mints....
Quite often if a food includes less than 1 gram of carb, it can be listed as being "0" carbs! Does that make sense? I know what I am trying to say, but not sure if I have explained it properly.

Re: Breath Mints....
Oh yeah, I understand. At below one carb, you think it would hurt to have a couple as long as you didn't get out of control with it. The cinnamon ones are pretty potent breathwise.
