the label on my bag of this says 3 cups servings, 10 cals, 7 carbs and 7 fiber....so is that zero carbs? How would I count that towards my 20 if technically it would be 0 net carbs?
I'm confused.....

first off is your bag a USA bag? American foods follow the FDA label laws and fiber is counted undere the total carbs sio we can subtract them. UK law doesn't do this and they have already subtracted the fiber from their total carbs so on UK food labels the total carbs is the Atkins net carbs.
Your label also has only 10 cals but each gram of carbohydrate has 4 cals so you should have at least 28 cals not counting any protein cals nor fats cals in the serving.
spinach is low carb but not that low. DOLE lists its carbs for baby spinach as 9 and
4 fiber and fresh express lists theirs as 3 and 2 fiber both for the same size so it will depend onwhat variety of spinach your company is using but you can run a hidden carb counter and find out how many finer carbs you really have.
Earthbound Farm Organic brand and it is U.S.-How do I run a hidden carb search?
Thanks for your help...just when you think you've got this WOL figured out something comes along and confuses you!!!

total carbs amount of protein and the amount of fats are measured scientifically carbs are all the calories left after you subtract the rest
CARBS in grams is
[totalcals - ( protein grams x 4cals/g) - ( fat grams x 9cal/g)] divided by 4cals/g
so you have 10 ttoal cals
I'd guess 0 fat grams and 2 protein grams if this is wrong let me know
so you have (10- 8-0 ) divided by 4 which gives you 2 not 7
for them to have 7 total carbs they need to have at least 28 cals just from the carbohydrates and they don't ( fifber does have calories humans just can't metabolize it)
I'd call their 800 number 1-800-690-3200 and ask about the accuracy of their labels
fitday has fresh for 2 cups at 2.1 carbs and 1.5 fiber which would make that size serving .5 grams you could call it one to be safe.
