  • back to the beginning

I have been away for the holidays to the Canary Islands staying in an all inclusive resort with my family.
I didn't exercise except walking or swimming,
    I drank alcohol,
I didn't over do it too much with the carbs but still had too many.

So today I am starting induction again. I am excited about it, I have been to the gym already, now I need to do some planning.
Tomorrow I will have the pleasure of weighing myself to see how much I have gained.

But I have definately been motivated by staying in this resort. It basically serviced Germans and Brits and 80% of the people there were overweight- I mean very overweight. And once we left the resort to visit the towns- all the other German or British tourists were overweight too.
I live in Poland where it is not normal to see so many fat people- but I am also Canadian where it is normal to see so many fat people- I guess I forgot, and It was actually quite shocking but definately inspiring for me, so...
I begin again- with bells on! And I think the best part is that I already know what to expect with carb withdrawl.
I am also wondering if anyone starting out is looking for a "buddy" to check in with- let me know.

I did re-start clean Induction yesterday and it would be nce to check in together......did not experience any bad induction flu yet, maybe I was not so bad intoxicated with sugar and carbs after all!!!

      Re: back to the beginning

Gala, my first day has actually been quite good. I didn't have any re-induction flu, as of yet anyway, and i had two days previously a caffine headache. I kicked it the first time after 5 days of a pounding head but at the resort they only had regular coffee which i felt i needed- so for the past two days my head was aching but today i woke up without.
i am doing ok with the food, at the resort i didn't go overboard with the carbs- just the drinks really. it is funny we just looked at our photos from the two weeks and i can see the difference from day 1 to day 14. even when we got back after the second day i was less bloated.
not that i am a lush, but you know a few drinks in the evening by day 14 you are really feeling it- definately learned my lesson on that one.
i think it is a great idea to check in with each other, i have to lose about the same amount as you- i have given myself the first goal of 25 lbs- then after that all is a bonus, good luck with day 3!

Welcome Back! We all stumble at times, but good for you that you are getting back on track right away.

Drink your water and re-read the book.

        Happy Low Carbing!

Hi Pipee, I know what you mean by feeling the alcohol!!!
I went back on induction after 4 B52 shooter on friday night and I stocked myself up with water to flush them off.........they are so heavy!!! dn't get me wron I am not an alcoholic but still, I struggle in getting through the weekend without drinking .............. it's only monday i don't want to think about that now!
I decided against going up on the scale while I am on induction so hopefully we gonna share a nice loss in 14 days time!
well done on day1 and keep up the good work!
ah and water water water water
