  • looking for new Marinade

    Hi Everyone...

I'm looking for a recipe for a meat marinade. I need to have some sort of flavor to my chicken or beef. I have searched the net endlessly and my atkins book as well. All suggestions welcome. Thanks

    Re: looking for new Marinade

We've marinated our chicken and pork in Italian dressing and it turns out great. Lemon, rosemary and olive oil are good as well. I haven't marinated beef, so I'm interested in hearing what others do as well.

I just Googled 'marinades' and a whole lot of them were fine for Induction, so there's that option out there for you as well. Just keep your Acceptable Foods list handy and go for it.

Newman's Caesar Dressing makes a great marinade. Also, your favorite salsa with some oil and vinegar, extra garlic, salt and pepper. These go great on beef and chicken along with pork loin.

I like to marinade in lime, cilantro and a cut jalapeno. Beef, chicken and pork all rock this way. If the jalapeno is too spicy add onion instead.

Try balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I use it on beef, chicken and fish. It's really good!

some of the ingredients listed in the responses are NOT for induction so be careful. You cant use the lemon, lime, salsa or balsamic vinegar during induction

Ohhhhh...you just made my mouth water. I bet beef marinaded in lime and cilantro would be SO GOOD! I love mexican food, and some thin sliced flank steak or ribeye with this flavor? Mmmmmm...Might have to try this one.
