    Re: hot flashes

First off make sure the hot flashes aren't due to women issues, like menopause.

Secondly, I recall when I was a newbie, some folks were reporting that they experienced a feeling of being hot, particularly after they ate a meal. I remember the mods at that time chalked it up to the body revving up its metabolism.

      Re: hot flashes

Sounds like perimenopause to me. I am the QUEEN of getting my hormones straightened out and doing research on NATURAL HORMONES (or bio-identical)

Email me, personally if you have further questions.

            Re: hot flashes

I had the same problem, I have lost 67 pounds and around 55 pounds started getting hot flashes. After several trips to my doctor, and blood tests later i found out that due to the rapid weight lost (2 months) that I am in early menopause. Not really that early i am 47, but early enough. She told me that rapid weight loss can kick start menopause in women that are in peri-menopause. All my other blood work came back fantastic, colesterol 304 to 211, and sugars 187 to 101. I am upset anout the menopause starting, but happy about the weight loss. My doctor wants me to stay at my current weight for a few months to give my body a chance to regulate. So now i am in a pickle. I want to keep loosing. So getting back to hot flashes.... they are a nightmare! As far as i am concerned they are ruining my life at the moment. If i were you I'd go get some blood work done and have your hormone levels checked for menopause just in case!
