  • Acceptable for Induction?

I had the best appetizers the other night at a friend's house and I'm thinking they must be good for the induction phase...yes??
    *Jalapeno Poppers*
Jalapenos, cut in half and (carefully) seeded
    Fill these with cream cheese
Wrap with bacon, secure with toothpick
    Broil until bacon is crispy.

They sound great! Just make sure you count the cheese in your daily allowance. We can have lots of yummy things can't we?

          Re: Acceptable for Induction?

If the ingredients to the dish are on the Induction Acceptable Foods list, then the dish is okay for Induction. HOWEVER, you must still count the ingredients towards your daily totals. For example, if the dish uses 2 ounces of cheese and you eat the whole thing, that cheese counts towards your daily cheese total.

peppers are on induction list as is cream cheese and bacon (but it does say to limit bacon, cold cuts etc.) Still, better than chips n' dip

                Great, glad they're LEGAL! Ü
Naturally, you need to count each item in its' category (veggies, cheese etc)
I had 6 of these yesterday, and just think:
I used less than 2oz cream cheese, and 3 jalapenos approx 2" long - and cut 2 slices of bacon in thirds.
All in all, a pretty modest snack.
