Re: help here
Hi Fantasy - carrots are not allowed in Induction so you should probably cut those out. You need 2 cups a day of salad veggies and 1 cup a day of other veggies. I think brussels sprouts fall into the "other" category. You can look in the "Review my menu" section to see what others are having. I believe Dr. A gives some sample menus in his book. Do you have the 2002 version of DANDR?Female, 46yrs, 5'3"

Re: help here
As ladyinred says, you need to read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short) so that you understand the 'why' behind the diet, and you have a reference handy for the Acceptable Foods list and the Rules of Induction.
Carrots are definitely not allowed during Induction, but they can be added back later down the road.
Take some time to read the stickies and the FAQ's as well as reading the book.
Here's a sticky about the nature of weight loss that you might find interesting as well:

There are no set meal plans to send you...what we all do is learn the Rules, get familiar with the Acceptable Foods so we know what our guidelines are and we go from there. The best rule of thumb is to have a veggie, and a protein at every meal (veggie and meat, with a full fat salad dressing and/or some cheese so you are getting the big three at each meal fat/protein/carb)
What you might find helpful is to go to the Review My Menu forum and read up on the threads there so you can see what others are eating, and what we've had to say about it all.

Re: help here
One day a week, I search the recipes here and make up a menu of things to eat. It's so much easier to plan it that way since I know what I'll be having.
If you search the board for Spinach Lasagna, Creamy Chicken Skillet and/or Bunless Chili Dogs, I can tell you all three of those are wonderful and so easy!
