    Re: Breakfast

    Hi Jingles

In the 30 months I have been Atkineering I have never had eggs for breakfast!!

I usually have a couple of slices of microwaved flax bread with ham or cheese and some cherry tomatoes, or celery sticks spread with cream cheese, or ham and cheese rollups, or Pau's breakfast quiches (http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=5569) , or leftover something from the day before!!

As long as it is listed on the 'allowed foods for induction' list you can eat it in the morning

There is a recipe database which has a 'breakfast' section (http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/) or click on the link 'recipes' at the top of each page here - all you need to to is make sure all ingredients are on the allowed list.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Try leftovers from the night before.

        Re: Breakfast

I have been known to have a pork chop in the morning...or soup...or leftover whatever from the night before.

It can be hard to view non-breakfast type foods as being acceptable in the morning, can't it?
I grew up in a household where we would sometimes have breakfast stuff for dinner so it's never seemed odd to me...lol

And remember, you don't have to sit down to a full big breakfast...if all you can manage is five or six bites, that's fine...but don't skip it...your body needs to get it's metabolism rolling in the morning.
I usually have a light breakfast, and then a snack later on in the morning. I find having five or so smaller snack-like meals during the day and then a small dinner is best for me and keeps me feeling great all day.

keep in mind that you dont have to eat "traditional" breakfast food for breakfast. You can eat whatever you want as long as it's on the acceptable list. For example, I had two hamburger patties with cheese and mayo for breakfast this morning. Yesterday morning I had tuna salad
