    Isn't it amazing that just when u start induction, family members decide to buy a whole box of krispy kreme donuts and those cheddar fish from pepperidge farm? I am devestated! As if it is not already hard enough to stay away from fruits, now I have a big fat juciy warm glazed donut staring at me.Wow, I think it actually has a mouth....its calling me....OK, BACK AWAY FROM THE DONUT!

    Yes, back away from the donut! You don't need all those carbs added to your hips and thighs.

    It seems like when I started both this time and last time, that's when people wanted to get together and include all the high carb foods, too. It stinks. I started taking my own food. They thought I was weird at first, but got used to it.

      Just try to remember---eating donuts and things of that nature is what got you fat in the first place. So the next time you see a donut and are thinking about eating it, picture yourself being forklifted out of your chair or having a huge rear-end or pillars for thighs.

        The thing about donuts is, they're ridiculously unsatisfying. They're not even a FUN treat food. Even when I was eating carbs, I sort of resented them. They taste good for like a second, but you never get that full feeling so you keep eating them until you get sick. I have no idea why people have them for breakfast, they are certainly not brain food.

          Good job backing away. Unfortunately we're gonna be faced with challenges like that all the time and each time we're able to not give in, we're that much closer to our health and fitness goals. Big pat on the back to you!

              ugh..i know how you feel

              i have 4 kids and i refuse to deprive them of the occasional treat just because they don't look good on MY body. i even baked them tollhouse cookies the other night. yep...it was torturous....but i didn't eat any.

              nothing tastes better than thin feels.....i just keep telling myself that!

                save some time and sit on the doughnut. it will stop calling your name,And unlike if you ate it not permanently glued to your butt.

                Now would be a very good time to recruit your fasmily memebers to be a part of your Atkins support network. Explain when you bring home and leave where I can see _______ I feel _____________________________. I need your help with this by____________ ( tell them not to let you know they bought it, hid it, or keep those foods in other locations). You will be amazed how empowering that is for you and for them cause once you invite them they will make it their duty to save you should you try to throwy yourself on a box of doughnuts mouth first.

                SOmebody just posted about how theri hubby ate a choclate bar they found and he didn't like chocolate but did it so she would not be tortured by the bar.

                    everyday i have doughnuts and pastas and sugars around me. my family hates the food i make so they make their own... or i make it for them. like a few people already said, the pleasure only lasts a minute. Plus your guilt will set in and then your out of ketosis. no fun! its a vicious cycle im trying to not get myself into. once you convince yourself its okay to cheat this once your more then likely not going to make it. many times i told myself i could cheat and the cheat lasted months... hehe anyways, good for you to not eat the doughnut!

                      Yes, the taste of a donut isn't as good as being thinner and healthier. It really is just food. Life is so much more than our tastebuds being pleased.

                      Plus we all know that that roll of fat around our waist is really donut dough!! gotta get rid of it.

                      WTG!!! sourpuff, you have passed the test. You do have the power to say NO! I am not eating that crapola.

                        OM My goodness I can so relate to resisting that donut!..I did cave to an ice cream cake yesterday and immediately was starving, so no more of that sweet stuff for me it really didn't even tate that good.

                          I have an idiot at work goes past my desk EVERY morning with a chocolate hunnybun which used to be my favourites! He does this stupid look what I got dance and I just smile at him, because when Im slim he will still be fat and obnoxious My family are being very supportive.

                            My Wife is a terriffic baker and cook. I've been in hard induction now for a 9 days. She's baked, macadamia nut chocolate chip cookies, Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and she does it on a weekend when I basically have to stay here and "take it". UGH! I do not cheat when on induction, but the smell of baking bread and sweets is just mind numbingly irritating sometimes.. I just drink and extra cup of decaff with heavy creme and try to think its that that is smelling so good!
