  • Is this legal for induction?

My husband wants me to make Bubba Gump Shrimp for dinner:

Shrimp sauteed in olive oil, garlic, red peppers flakes, italian seasonings

    Meanwhile,

Cook up diced tomatoes with similar seasonings until tender.

Pour shrimp in glass baking dish with tomatoes over top then sprinkle feta cheese and bake.

Of course, I would not put mine over pasta like he will. If I just use 1 cup of the tomatoes and the rest shrimp with a big salad, will this be legal for induction?

Sounds delicious - and if you use your 1 cup other vegs for the tomatoes, this should be legal, too. Just remind yourself that you should be spreading your veggie carbs over the day, so if you eat all your vegs at one meal, there isn't much left to spread

Sounds good...maybe you should eat less of the tomatoes at dinner so you can spread your vegetables out during the day.

your recipe is very legal just remember to count all the carbs in all the ingredients like the herbs too

you do not want to have a cup of tomatoes and a big salad at the same meal. spread your 3 cups of vegies out to every meal so you don't have a bolus of carbs in one sitting.

think about it as an engine that runs on regular. you give it premium and it misfires.

kpoll, are you doing Induction again, or are you still in OWL? I remember you pinpointed your OWL problems were due to your use of artificial sweeteners. No need to go back to Induction if that's the case, just drop the sweeteners from your OWL diet and move onwards.

I am actually doing the Boot Camp! I did not know that I got in when I did the other post so, I guess I am doing induction again! Can't hurt me, that's for sure. But, Megs, I did lose 2 pounds in the 4 days that I quit all that stuff so I know I am on the right track. Thanks for looking out for me

It is very yummy. I put it over low carb pasta (dreamfield's) for DH and daughter. Me, plain. But it is very tastey!
