Anyone else like Sardines in Olive Oil..

  • Anyone else like Sardines in Olive Oil..

    how do you make yours and do you eat the bones.

    I de-bone the little guys and add vinegar and oregano and a dash of garlic powder, I love this sometimes I mash it up with celery...

    Any one else admit to liking them?? and how do you eat yours

    I've tried, but not with success. How do you debone them? They're so tiny!

      very carefully, split them down the middle and use a knife to take them out, if I get a bone I can't eat it

      I think I'll get a can for this weekend..

          But aren't sardine bones like any canned fish bones...soft and edible? And full of calcium too!

            I'll admit to liking them...
            but i dont know how to eat them now...lol
            i mean, i used to eat them with a bit of mustard on crakers.. now what do i eat them with.. any help

              I used to eat them with ketchup on a ritz cracker...I'd be interested in hearing how others eat them as well.

                I love them with the bones, besides the bones are very good for a person. I use to eat them on crackers also. Now I just eat them for lunch, rolled up in a lettuce leaf. LOL

                    What do they taste like? Does it smell like cat food? I'm all about getting more fish into my diet, so I"m willing to give it a go.

                      umm, kinda.. well ud have to see for yourself..its uniqe but without a bit of mustard and crakers.. im grossed out i cant think of anythign to eat it with thats not gross to me....

                        How about making flax crackers?
                        Mustard should be OK as long as it doesnt have sugar or flour in it.
                        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                          I used to love them on toast!! But now I mash them and eat them wrapped in lettuce leaf or on celery ,If you mash them to almost puree you wont get any bones

                            I eat them straight out of the can with a fork. I sprinkle Louisiana Hot Sauce on them (0 carbs).

                            If you go to the website www.beachcliff.info you can see they have a lot of different sauces for them, mustard, chili peppers, hot sauce, and they don't have a lot of carbs.

                            Actually, I use Louisiana Hot Sauce on a lot of things besides sardines.

                              I eat them like Yellow Jacket, except I squirt some lemon juice or malt vinegar on them.

                              I eat the bones because, like Moochie said, they give me calcium.
