    I just ate four cloves of garlic and I have already had my three cups of veg---i knew i should have checked before i ate it---its only four carbs but still--how much is this going to throw me off?
    Age: 22
    Height: 5'3
    Start Weight: 182
    Current Weight: 182
    Goal Weight: 115

    Restarted Induction for the very, very last time on: 11/29/2005

    I don't think it will throw you off, but drink your water. Remember to check next time.

    Lesson learned. Don't fret and keep working it. You'll get it.

      As TJ said, just drink your water and move on. Most of us make mistakes now and then. The trick is to learn from them and don't do it again!

        You probably have some fiber somewhere in your carbs yesterday, so you may not be as "over" as you think. Dietary fiber should be subtracted from total carbs.

        Mistakes happen. At least you are aware now and actually care. Keep up the good work, and don't dwell on it. Have some water!

          deep breath

          garlic isn't a vegie on induction it is in the spice andherb catagory. Dr Atkins says garlic is the most powerful food around interms of nutrients per carb. make sure you stay under 20 net carbs for the day but you didn't exceed your veggies.

            Whenever I think I might have made a mistake in my eating,I press on with my excercise.A good workout can cover a multitude of eating sins. At the very least, it does wonders for the mental part of this way of life.I have found the best diet tool I have sits on my shoulders.If this is going to be your new way of eating for life,one wrong mouthful of food will not destroy your effort and ultimate success.

              Good suggestion, I lost it

                  I wouldn't lose sleep either.
                  I'd get some mouthwash though...lol

                  I went over my carb count during Induction by eating too many mushrooms and I was all panicky.
                  Then I thought...hey...it's mushrooms...it's not chocolate cake!

                  There are days where you will be lower in carbs and perhaps some where you do go over, but it all averages out. When you want to worry is when you are consistently over or under, and then you would take a closer look to see what's going on.

                    guys she didn't say she went over her carb count she said she had already eatten her 3 cups of salad. We are allowed other carbs in acceptable foods too like cheese,eggs,spices,herbs, and salad dressing so she did nothing wrong with her induction unless she comes back and posts she ate too many total carbs.
