  • too much protein

Today is my first day of induction-
    and so far i had
    g cal %total
    Total: 731 Fat:40 361 50% Sat:12 111 15% Poly:1 7 1% Mono:2 18 3%Carbs:19 77 11% Fiber:0 0 0%Protein:71 283 39%Alcohol:0 0 0%

this is a lot more protein than i need daily....
(i should be having about 48g of protein per day...)

is there anyway to avoid this?
it seems like if i dont eat protein loaded food, then ill be eating carb loaded food...
    (does that make sense?)

it takes very little fat to increase that ratio of fat and that would also lower your protein ratio, but like yemenitegreen said without seeing your foods it is hard to tell you how to fix this.

I used Fitday to count the carbs and just ignored the rest of the statistical stuff - I like things simple. i don't think it matters a tinkers damn if you go over your protein limit. I ate "Liberal" amounts of meat and fish and eggs. I ate till I wasn't hungry no more.

          Re: too much protein

I think the important issue here is the ratio of fat/protein/carbs. Just remember that it's a high-fat diet, not a high-protein one. Sometimes just adding 1 Tbsp of oil will do the trick so that you have the correct ratio. Please post a sample menu so we can see what's going on.
