  • what snacks are good for induction?

I am on my second day. What snacks are good for induction? I'm trying to stay around 15 grams of carbs a day bc for me I tend to lose weight slower than most people. I find lowering my carbs a little helps with this.

The best snacks are high fat ones. So hard boiled eggs, tuna and mayo, chicken and mayo, a leftover chicken leg from last night's dinner, cheese, etc.

If you do choose to use part of your vegetable allowance for a snack, make sure you eat it with some kind of fat like cheese.

You might want to avoid sweet tasting snacks. For some people the sweet taste is an eating trigger and they either overeat or eat the wrong foods.

Thanks! I thought since I was dieting that was the perfect avatar for me. Rich, I must say you look AWESOME! I like to eat a can of chicken vienna sausage. It says 2 1/2 grams of carbs in the whole can. Do you think this is okay. I also like the beef sticks too!

Chopped bite size Jicama works really well for me in place of chips

The mock danish in place of any kind of sweet.

Mushrooms stuffed with sausage and cream cheese topped with parmesean for a fancy snack.

Fish - i like to get canned salmon from Costco, it has no bones and is so delicious

                    Hot Dogs! (low sodium brand)

Once in a while - 1/2 an avacado with some shrimp

                    Olives

I snack better and healthier on Atkins, than I ever did
                    when I was eating junk.
