  • How much of...

    How much of heavy cream are we allowed? I am in extended induction, but I think this might be what is causing me to stall. I know I have a high metabollic resisitance and I have been exploring in the last week and a half on the best workouts, times to eat, how much to eat, what to eat, etc.

    Any suggestions on what has worked for you would be appreciated! I am a very busy student and it is rather difficult to eat within the every 6 hours, but I manage to get my three meals in. I am thinking of trying to break up the meals into 5 -6 small snack size.

    I read that for the highly resistant folks it would be better due to a consistent release of blood sugar. I have been drinking a ton of water and learned lately that I need to watch the salt intake as much as the sugar.

    ALSO - on induction are we suppose to have 'no' sugar whatsoever... even if it is in cream, lunch meat, low carb dressing, etc?

    I am not even sure I am in ketosis because I ate a low carb bar and while it takes so freakin' good I know I am screwing my body over.... so I said bye bye to those for awhile. Even the shakes which are amazingly helpful when I am on the go 7 am - 7 pm.... any suggestions on snacks that will stay inside my purse without a refrigerator? I think if I want to be serious about this I will have to start planning far in adance and make a point to have snacks prepped and ready at every location I stop at.... via all my classes, meetings, two jobs, home etc.

    okay you ask a lot
    first cream 2-3T comes with a warning in induction chapter 11 special foods catagory that it might effect your losing and if it does you shouldn't use it now.

    the sugar you want to avoid is in the ingredients label. Sugar in the nutritional label can be natural sugars in the food like in tomatoes and other vegies.

    eatting several smallmeals has worked well ofr may folk. if you want 5-6 small meals try it and see how you do. if it isn't for you have 3 meals and small snacks inbetween of legal for your phase foods. get an insulated lunch fanny pack and pack your foods then you don't have to worry about it fittingin your purse.

    Glad you are geting rid of the frankenfoods. you can add them back later when you understand your body better on low carb Atkins eating if you need to have them.

      Are you taking any supplements? I found that supplements, exercise, and lots of water have helped me alot, as well as increasing the percentage of fat to protein and carbs overall. When I ate the low carb bars they caused me to stall, so I am staying away from those as well.

        Thank You for your help. I am definitely going to stray away from shakes, bars, etc. and remain on induction for at least another month.

        As for supplements, I am just taking a multi vitamin everyday along with Chromium. I also have lecitin and fish oil pills which I take occassionally, but not routinely like the other two. I have been thinking about purchasing the Atkins Basic 3 pill because it contains most, if not all, the essetials I guess I am suppose to be taking. What do you think? What do you take?

        I work out religiously and actually am changing that up as well. More cardio w/ less resistance training. I am really bulking up my legs and arms, which is good, but also not what I want... so I am going to alter my workouts to do more toning rather than build.
