  • This is my third day and i'm still going

    Hi everyone, this is my third day on Atkins and amazingly i've stuck to it.
    I did it about 5 yrs ago but only for about a week & a half but i lost nearly a stone and I wish had kept doing it. Over the years I have tried loads of diets but i've literally not even stuck any of them for a day, so for me to still be here 3 days later is a very, very, big thing to me. Here's a question though, I have the book but the carb amounts for food in the back are totally different for the food packaging and the little carb gram counter I bought, so what do I go by?

    welcome to ADBB and back to Atkins.
    when you say you have the book is that the 2002 edition of Atkins?

    use whatever carbsourse you want but use the valuse it has for your food and you should be consistant in your errors. if your food isn't in the book then use another source for that food. Food lables usually are more accurate becuase they have to have the stuff tested to get the numbers and if say manufacturere A uses X in his salad dressing and manufacturere B uses Y their values will be different.

    Sowhat you doing for the exercise pat of yor Atkins? we got lots of chalenges going on you can join.Check them out inthe exercise and the exercise challenge forums.

      Well, I have got both the 2002 and the newer version of the book. My Dad has lent me the 2002 version and that is what I go by. It has done my Dad the world of good and I haven't seen him looking so healthy for years!!! Well done Dad!
