My name is jen, and I am a peanut butter addict

I can sympathize. You should stay away from the Peanut butter during inductionfor sure. you can add it back, in moderation, on the nut rung of OWL. Unfortunately, like nuts, it's a calorie dense food, so you should limit it. I try not to have more than 2 tbsns of p butter in a day.

I buy organic natural p. butter. I bought Kraft sugar free p butter a while back and ended up throwing it in the garbage! i can't believe how gross the consistency of regular p. butter is (the one that has hyd. oils to stop it from separating) is.

I could sit down and eat an entire jar with a spoon..it takes alot of self control for me not too!

        Re: AAHH!! PB addict here

I just want to make it clear that peanut butter is NOT Induction-friendly and that we encourage people to stay away from the bars as well.
Nuts can be re-introduced on the nut-rung in OWL.

Induction is the time to break our addictions so we can start fresh in building our new, better, healthier, more controlled eating habits.

So put that peanut butter away...avoid the frankenfood aisle at the store, and keep on eating those veggies and kicking those addictions to the curb!

You need to face your addiction and break the habit. conrolling your eating is what Atkins is all about. DO not sub a bar for your habit just stop it. you need to be strong and not give in. You can do this.

when you get to the nut rung of OWL you can add cream cheese to the pb and make it last longer. Janice one of our old mods used to keep her jar in the frige and her treat was a spoonful of pb right off the spoon like a big old sucker.

Gonna risk being really impertinent here, but its only because I care.

As tiny as you are, and as close as you are to goal I think you should be on maintenance, and am not sure what you are doing on induction anyway. You can have some peanut butter on maintenance.

Why are you trying to get down to 90 pounds? That seems extreme to me.

I'm only 4 inches taller than you, and at 90 pounds I would be a skeleton. How about adding a pic to your profile so we can can get a better idea of whats happening with you. It doesn't sound to me like
you have much fat to lose.

I had the same problem. Finally one night at about 2 in the morning, I went outside and threw it away. A whole jar of creamy PB gone. However, I havent had it since. Remove the temptation.

I agree .. I am also 4 inches taller than you and very small boned. (see pic) If I weighed 90, I'd be anorexic, that's for sure.

You can take charge of your health with Atkins WITHOUT becoming anorexic.

                      yea-
i told my lil sis that we r not getting n e more PB (sad but determined)

and as for being 4 inches taller and all
if u r 4 inches taller than i am, of COURSE 90lbs at your height would b an anorexic weight...

the diff between 4'11" and 5' 3" is grand.
(esp when standing next to ea other. lol- i always feel like a midget)

I have to agree with sugarartemesia about the height. IE think about the difference between 5'4" and 5'9"...HUGE difference.

It's also very hard to judge others weights if you haven't seen them in person. there are people my height 5'4" who are at 105 lbs at goal...and I am at 120. i'm big framed, some people have small frames. How much do you weigh betty? it's can't be more than 110 lbs. I easily 10 lbs heavier than you and the same height as you (Tough i would like to be 115 ). everyone is built differently.
